I’m sorry that I’m a bit late with this notice, but we’re still trying to gear up for North Carolina Archives Week.
This message is from Audra Yun, the head of our planning committee:
The Society of North Carolina Archivists invites repositories across the state to participate in Archives Week 2011 from October 24 – 30!
This year’s unofficial theme is a celebration of 150th Anniversary of the US Civil War. Archives Week is an annual, week-long observance of the agencies and people responsible for maintaining and making available the archival and historical records of our nation, state, communities and people. The events are a celebration of the work that we and our organizations do, but it is also a time to raise public awareness.
The Society of North Carolina Archivists’ Archives Week Committee will be providing a limited supply of posters and bookmarks for display at your library, museum, or archives. Please use the following form to submit your request:
Posters and bookmarks will be mailed free of charge courtesy of SNCA.
Please submit your request before Friday, August 12, 2011. More information about advocacy and promoting Archives Week to come!
Thanks from the Archives Week Committee!
